Ginter Park United Methodist church is one of three USDA supported food pantries on Richmond’s Northside.
Every Wednesday from 10 a.m. – 12 noon, free food is provided to members of our community through our walk-up / drive-through Food Pantry. These provisions are given to an average 140 – 180 families per week. We do this through federal support provided through FeedMore and donations from Shalom Farms and our local community. We always welcome donations of any size. We also appreciate monetary donations either directly to the church designated for the Food Pantry or provided through our GIVING site. If you are able, please donate non-perishable items such as:
- Canned fruits & vegetables
- Canned beans
- Canned meats (ham, chicken, fish)
- Peanut butter, Oatmeal packets
- Cereals
- Cans of stews, ravioli, soups
- Spaghetti, pasta, rice
We also appreciate paper bags and plastic bags with handles.
Food donations may be dropped off at the church Side Door (off the parking lot) or Memorial Garden Door (facing Laburnum in the center of the buildings) during the hours of 8am to noon, Monday thru Thursday.
